Prom Notes
5/3 Email
Good afternoon everyone (parents and kids),
Parents and Kids
There are still many of you that have not signed up you and/or your parents for helping this weekend. If your name is highlighted in orange on the sign-up tab it means you need still need to designate a time to help out. Please remember that if you are walking and being announced it is expected that you help out. If you want to eat pizza tomorrow evening for dinner please bring $3 and I will order pizza around 6 pm.
We are hoping for some muscles and builders right away when school gets out, because we have some building to do with drills (not difficult) and some heavy/bulky stuff to move. I also would love to have someone with a pick-up truck, because the kids want the swing from my backyard for an underwater "park" (we are also going to use the trees from the musical). If you are coming tomorrow to help and have tools you can bring them in case we need them!
Today after school we are going to move some of the equipment/decorations into the gym, so if you are available and want to help out stop by!
Kids
Here is the link for prom voting. The vote is only for the Class of 2019, so please do not ask others to vote for you; their vote will not be counted. Please complete your vote by 9 AM on Saturday morning, which will be when voting closes. You can do this wherever and whenever you want from your phone or computer. You are able to update your vote in the case that someone hacks your phone and votes for you (kids would never do this at all)
My AP kids are taking a practice exam tomorrow, so I will be in my room with their "quiet testing environment" until about 3:40. As soon as I am done I will head to the gym. See everyone throughout the weekend and hopefully many of you tomorrow!

Good morning,
This email contains quite a bit of information and is broken down by topic.
King, Queen, Court, and Grand March
All junior class members are on court and will be announced by last year's Homecoming Queen and King, Sam Trainor and Cole Myers.
The junior class will vote for its class King and Queen electronically. The link for voting will be emailed to you at the end of the day after the PASS list is released and will remain open until 9 AM on Saturday morning.
Decorating
Sunday April 29th at 2:30 (back doors near the art room will be unlocked)
Meet in my room at 2:30 for decorating/planning. During this time we will
1) finish painting the cardboard, 2) decorating some of the cardboard, 3) cutting out/decorating the fish, 4) and anything else we can get done!
Friday May 4th at 3:30-11:59
Gym transformation will commence. We need as many of you here as possible. As of right now I know that Track has a meet in Deerfield and Baseball has a game in Orfordville. This means the rest of you and/or your parents need to be here to help out after school or after your sport practice.
I am being hopeful that we will everything ready by midnight and we will all be able to go home!
I am checking with JP and Mrs. Tretow about letting us move the decorations/bins into the gym before 3:30 on Friday. This will speed things up, because we would be able to begin right away at 3:30. I'll let everyone know what I find out when I have more details.
Needed Items
Your "fish"
We will have an "Under the Sea" section where all of you will be "swimming". Please come see me for your fish to color/decorate. If you finish your fish or someone else's fish please bring it to me for safekeeping.
Music
We don't have a DJ, but Mr. Gentilli has offered to let us use his equipment. There is a list that is being worked on and this list is on Tab 4 of the document that has been shared with you. The yellow means that song has been added to the playlist. Please do not delete songs off of the list. All music needs to be clean, danceable, and there needs to be enough time to play all of the music, so if your song suggestion doesn't get added to the playlist please don't take it too personally. Please come see me if you have a question or concern.
The song you will walk to is Good Life- G-Eazy ft Kehlan.
The parent dance will be to Forever Young. Please see me to decide the version.
The junior class dance will be to May We All- Florida Georgia Line.
Class of 2019-Prom Planning Document
Here is the link for the prom planning document.
There are various tabs on the bottom.
Tab 1-Walking List I am touching base and working with all of the students who are not paired up with someone to walk with.
Tab 2-Decorating Sign-Up This is a very important one! As of right now it doesn't look like there is much help for decorating. If you plan on walking and being announced you and/or your parents are required to help out at some point (or more than one point) during the weekend.
Tab 3-Decorated Names This is where I will make sure that your fish has been decorated/colored. After you bring it back to me I will mark your name off of the list.
Tab 4-Music See "Music" above.

We will meet here next Saturday at 3 pm all dressed and ready to go for a "practice run" and pictures. This is a great opportunity for your parents to get pictures with the lights on.

The dance runs from 8-12.
$5 for each student (juniors who help out with decorating on Friday for a minimum of 2 hours will receive a $2 discount at the door).

Important Music
Please use this link to vote on your songs for the Grand March. I will keep the vote open until the end of the day on Tuesday. Since there is such a large list of songs, especially for the Parent Dance, I expect that we might use this vote to narrow down the choices. If there is a clear winner then we will not revote.
Week of Prom
Please let me know if you have questions.
